Spider Monkey Brazilian Fauna

Spider monkeys are the largest primates of the New World: the adult is between 42 cm and 66 cm long, with a tail of up to 88 cm and weighing up to 11 kg. The limbs are long and slender, as is the tail, which is prehensile, characteristic of the genus and which has given it the popular name spider monkey. Such characteristics make it easy to differentiate the spider monkey from other large primates of South and Central America, such as the howler monkey and the woolly monkey. The thumb is very small, practically absent.
