Local And Federal Elections Should Be Held At The Same Time-Federalist no. 61

In this paper, Hamilton confronts the claim that elections should be held in the county of the electors. Hamilton contends that only voters from that county will come out to vote, thus alienating a vast majority of voters. Additionally, federal elections and state elections should be held at the same time for reasons of continuity.
