Trust is one of the cornerstones in any good relationship. Without trust, a relationship won’t last. One of the most important relationships we have, is with ourselves. We need to be able to trust ourselves to take good care of ourselves and to listen when we know it’s time to change course. We get in trouble when we don’t listen to our inner guidance. Imagine there is someone in your life that keeps telling you something, but it never happens – they never deliver on their promises; how long would you be able to trust them? After a while, when they’ve betrayed your trust and exhausted any belief you once had in them, you not only resent them, but you doubt yourself because you were too trusting of that individual in the first place. It erodes your trust in yourself and often in any power greater than yourself. This is an especially detrimental situation that you must rectify. Find the courage to move on. Allow yourself to let go of that situation and start to build back the trust you once had that life can be better, and will get better, if you do what you need to do. Afterall, you are in charge of your well-being and if someone isn’t living up to their promises, it’s up to you to take a stand and not allow it to continue. When you need to fortify your resolve, meditate. Focus on the next steps you need to take in order to move away from a broken situation and into a better reality. You have the power to take a stand and say this is not alright with me and change it. You truly have the power to move in the direction of your dreams and remember how precious your trust is so that you don’t give it away again so easily. Any recipient must be worthy of your trust. Rebuild your inner resources and you’ll be able to rebuild on solid ground in your future. Namaste.
