How To Get Rid Of Bed Bugs Yourself

So, you’ve got bed bugs.

Are you having trouble sleeping thinking that bugs are crawling on you or worse biting you at night?

It’s OK. Don’t Panic! Bed bugs have been part of human society from the beginning of time.

Although bed bugs have become resistant to many of the pesticides used today, scientific advancements and biological understanding of bed bugs have made it possible to get rid of them once and for all! Letting you get back to a peaceful night's sleep.

Yes, bed bugs are hard to get rid of but before you call the local pest control company consider treating your home yourself. Professional pest control companies charge a lot of money and many times they return several times before the bed bugs are completely eliminated. This process will disrupt your day to day life and cost you thousands of dollars!

There are three reasons why bed bugs are hard to eliminate. One, they have flat bodies and can fit in very tight places. Two, they hide during the day and are activated at night. And three, they multiply very quickly.

So what’s the solution?

First, strip down your bed and wash all the bed linens in hot water, make sure to dry them with high heat. Pull away the bed from the wall. Make sure to vacuum underneath, behind, and around the entire bed, removing all clutter, dust and dirt.

Second, purchase waterproof bed bug encasements for your mattress, box spring and pillowcases and Third, purchase a gallon of bed bug spray as well as pesticide-based dust.

Spray your mattress and boxspring with the bed bug spray and let it dry. Make sure to spray very well around the baseboards, bed frame, and floor where your bed stands. Let dry.

After everything is dry, encase your mattress, box spring and pillow cases with the water proof bed bug encasements.

And last, use the pesticide-based dust around the base of your bed frame, baseboards, electrical outlets and cracks in the floor.

The main thing to do is stay diligent and persistent! If you continue to see bed bugs simply rewash the bed linens each day and spray around your bed. Do not remove the box spring, mattress or pillow case encasements, until you are absolutely certain that the bed bugs are gone.
