Crisson Gold Mine • Tommy Proves his Love • Stan's Biscuit Shop & Deli

In this episode we continue touring the local Goldmines and watch Tommy find some decent gold from what is Georgia's only operating goldmine, though it stopped producing commercially in the 1980's and now focuses solely on providing dirt for panning. Dahlonega gold is the purest gold in the world. It's 98.7 percent pure which makes it over 23 karat. Crisson Goldmine was opened to the public in 1969, which makes it the oldest gold-panning establishment in Georgia.
Later on in the week, Tommy and I needed a bit of a break so we grabbed lunch at one of our favorite local places, Stan's Biscuit Shop and Deli. Stan's never disappoints and if you're passing through the Gainesville Georgia area, we highly recommend going there. They don't have a website, but are located off Hwy 60, Thompson Bridge Road and they are open seven days a week.
