C: Hi Leeland, thank you so much for the tour of Saqqara and wonderful presentation on Joseph. Wow you found the freeze of the famine. I like how you explain how there are 7 years of plenty and 7 years of famine (tribulation). And I found it fascinating to see the two thrones of Pharoah Zjoser and Joseph (Imhotep). It is recorded in history that Joseph (Imhotep) built the first step-pyramid in Egypt. Apparently there is still grain on the floor of these excavated grain bins and all 11 grain bins are visible by Arial survey. Spiritually speaking Joseph filled the grain bins with life-giving grain and this is a symbol of Jesus filling us with His life - if only we will receive it. It's so amazing to think that if God had not raised up Joseph this world-wide famine could have wiped out not only Israel but the entire population of the world. The 42 columns - from Adam to Jesus was 42 generations. The 42+4 pillars in the market-place could also represent the 46 years it took King Herod Agrippa to build the Temple in the time of Jesus (which was a symbol of Jesus Himself). Also there was 46 years between the carrying off of Juda and Israel into captivity. It is interesting to note in the Book of Jubilees that nearly all the sons of Jacob married Gentile women including Judah - as not all the sons took wives from Mesopotamian (Haran). I believe God designed this very early on in the piece so that the Gentiles would be grafted in to the covenant promise both spiritually and genetically even at that early stage. You are so blessed to be in Egypt - very happy for your and jealous :)
R: Thank you so much Kerensa, it's all for the glory of His soon return. Yes, the 2 thrones was amazing to me too. I hadn't seen anyone talk about that but it light up before my eyes. And to think of His promise to the Overcomers, Glory to God.
And the symbolism of the Pillars, awesome.
I didn't mention it in the video but when walking from the entrance count and you'll see 12 Pillars, then a space.
12 for the Tribes, Apostles, gemstones and months in a year.
