We spoke a little about SLA in the past. Azure has a standard that needs to kept to meet the SLA for Azure Services. There is a suite of services that help to keep us informed about the overall health of the Azure Services. This includes current and upcoming issues that may impact the services that are running in Azure. These events may affect your availability. There are three separate services that make up Azure Service Health.

Azure status informs you of service outages this shown in the Axure Status page. The page is a global view of the health of all Azure services across all Azure regions. This is a good reference for incidents with widespread impact. It is recommended that current Azure users leverage Azure services health to stay up to date about Azure incidents and maintenance.

Service health provides a personalized view of the health of the Azure Services and regions that you are currently using resources. This is the best place to look for services that are being impacted services that you may be using. In this section, you will find information about outages, planned maintenance activities and other health advisories. This will allow you to see what happened , what is being done about it and the root cause analysis. One of the recommended strategies to become proactive is to set up Service Health alerts. This way you will be sent notifications when events happen or events that are planned soon.

Resource health is next area that provides information about the health of your individual cloud resource such as a VM instance. Azure Monitor can be used to configure alerts to notify you of availability changes to your cloud resources. With these notifications this will help you to stay better informed about the availability of your resources with minute by minute responses. This way you can quickly assess whether an issue is due to a problem on your side or related to an Azure platform event.

With all of these services combined , they will help to provide you with an more comprehensive view into the health of Azure, and a more concise view for your deployed environment.

We will cover this and more in this video.
