•Dried fruit is a great source of fiber and nutrients and can definitely help you eat more fruit.

•However, because removing the water shrinks the fruit, portion sizes may seem distorted.

•In other words, it's a whole lot easier to eat fifteen dried apricots than it to eat fifteen fresh ones.

•And because fruits contain a lot of natural sugars, this can lead to elevated blood sugar and weight gain.

•Ultimately, dried fruit should be seen as a treat and eaten in moderation.
