This is a song born out of a strong passion and desire to attempt to curb the political violence at its roots before it erupts. It is general knowledge that our nation experiences an unpleasant atmosphere of hate leading to violence during the Electoral processes. This violence is logically unnecessary, as it is possible that by the divine Wisdom and Grace of our God, we, as a people can disagree in our views without declaring enmity. Furthermore, the Scriptures guide us as a Bible believing Nation to say that “the governing authorities are appointed and ordained, only by God” (Romans 13:1-2 paraphrased); which is why resorting to violence is uncalled for, and therefore, unnecessary. We, as a Christian Nation must accept our obligation to exercise our rights by casting our votes, but with acknowledgement to the Sovereign will of our God, who declares the outcome and ordains Leadership. In doing this, we will truly remain a beacon of peace; both on the African Continent, and the whole world at large.
