Does a graphite bass neck REALLY sustain more? LETS TEST IT!!!!!!
EVERYONE knows that a graphite bass or guitar neck has magical properties that allow it to sustain forever right? Here I put that to the test. The graphite comes courtesy of the pride of Great Britain, the Status Graphite Series 3000 bass. It's a headless jazz configuration that is active. It's made of what I believe to be walnut and graphite and has a massive bridge. The bass is pretty darn heavy as well. Trying to provide a fair fight, I've chosen the German flagship Warwick Corvette Proline. It has a solid flamed maple body with the traditional Warwick dense Ovangkol neck and Wenge fretboard. Testing is performed DIRECT into a USB interface. I do adjust the volume of the test as the the tones start losing sustain so that you can hear it better.
