Caltex Radio Theatre: Forbidden Planet
Originally aired June 9th, 1959
Based on the film staring Leslie Nielsen, Anne Francis, and Walter Pidgeon. Space Cruiser C-57D arrives at Altair IV in order to discover the fate of the Bellerophon, a ship that landed twenty years earlier.
Caltex Theatre was an Australian show similar to Lux Radio Theater. It aired from 1950 to 1959. Sponsored by Caltex Oil Company, the shows were popular movies of the time.
