The Adventures of Philip Marlowe: Lady in Mink

Original aired April 30th, 1949

A woman hires Marlowe to find her missing sister, which turns out to be a bigger case than Marlowe anticipated.

The Adventures of Philip Marlowe was a radio series featuring Raymond Chandler's private eye. Despite the show's popularity, it had no sponsor for most of its run (though Ford Motor Company and Wrigley's Gum sponsored it at times). Raymond Chandler had no connection with the scripting of the program, and was reportedly "moderately pleased" with Gerald Mohr's portrayal of Marlowe.
