Possumtown Expatriates- Columbus needs you!

Life is Short...Save Columbus!!
Columbus Mississippi...our favorite hometown.

But Columbus isn't well.
-a political regime of 15 years has cratered city finances.
-the city of Columbus is in $30 million of debt.
-this is a debt increase of over 300% since 15 years ago.
-but as debt increases, population is decreasing.
-the CFO was recently sent to prison for 20 years for embezzling city funds.
-budget errors in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
-wages are low, there are no high-paying jobs, and the economy is stagnant.
-crime is spiraling out of control and graduation rates suffer.
-schools are poorly rated and kids are a couple grades behind where they should be.
An election year is upon us. Thankfully this year we have a spate of new candidates that offer to turn this ship around before even more damage is done. These candidates include:
'Keith Gaskin, P.hD - https://keithgaskinformayor.com/keith
Kallie Phillips, CPA - https://www.facebook.com/kalliephillipsward1/
Jackie DiCicco - https://jdicicco.com/
The big Kahuna is the race for mayor. We have to unseat Mayor Smith. He is a proud man with many personal successes including being elected first black mayor in Columbus. That should get him a statue at city hall alone. But while the mayor may be a great person, if you separate the man from the record, you get a totally different picture.

So, in this case it's not personal Mayor Smith. Your record is one of failure I'm afraid. Columbus is at the bottom of most every chart. 15 years is plenty of time to get it right and you have not gotten it right I am sorry to say. It is time for you to go.

100% of the money raised will be donated directly to the candidates, preferably weekly, as time passes and more donations come in.

Columbus is at a precipice. It has never been in this bad of shape. Possumtown Expatriates must come together and pool resources to help Gaskin and the other candidates win and remove the entire city council and replace it with fresh accomplished people. Please help Columbus. You may not live there anymore but Columbus still needs you. Won't you donate today?
