This owl was found between London and St. Thomas. She was in trouble.
She was struggling to breath and had extremely pale mucus membranes in her mouth.
Preliminary symptoms suggest she was the victim of secondary rodenticide poisoning. That's where an animal poisoned after eating another Animals that has ingested rat poison.
She was admitted to Salthaven for treatment but her condition was worst and she died within an hour being admitted .
But there is something you can do; don't use rat poison! It kills raptor, our allies in controlling the rodent population.
