Washington Yakima Picking fruit at Johnson Orchard 2016

Driving from Seattle to Yakima is only about 3 hours each way and a fantastic destination for a day trip. Thao says riding in the passenger’s seat snacking on food, and watching the landscape roll by is better than watching TV, There are no commercials.
Johnson Orchards was a place Thao found on the internet. What an awesome place, a wide variety of fruits with some custom varieties I’d never heard of. The orchards were fantastic, with farm equipment tucked in every here and there for the guys to marvel at. We had a wonderful time there, if you get a chance to visit, you definitely should. It is worth your time.
