This video incorporates a modern reinterpretation of Gregorian Chant which was sung in the vast churches and cathedrals whose echoing reverberations combined to surround people with the sounds of the angels worshipping God, and so to raise the hearts and minds of worshippers to their destiny, their heavenly homeland.
Gregorian chant is the central tradition of Western plainchant or unaccompanied sacred song of the Roman Catholic Church. Gregorian chant more fully developed mainly in western and central Europe during the 9th and 10th centuries, with later additions and redactions. Gregorian chant is named after St. Gregory I, during whose papacy (590–604) it was collected and codified. Although Gregorian chant is no longer obligatory, the Roman Catholic Church still officially considers it the music most suitable for worship.
