In researching it, there does appear to be a scenario. These are just assumptions as I don't have confirmation to connect to the Lord's words. Everything in Mat 24 should be in Revelation.
Joshua and Caleb type of 2 Witnesses
Josh 10:11 the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them.
à we see hail many times in Revelation, is there a connection to Joshua's long day?
Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon;and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
Josh 10:13 And the Sun stood still, and the Moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies.
Is not this written in the book of Jasher?
So the Sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
Jasher 88:64 Sun stood still 6 and 30 moments and the Moon stood still and hastened not to go down the whole day.
Here obviously the day is extended but does one of the 2 Witnesses shorten the day (s) ?
Does Psalm 89 with reference to the Sun, Moon, Witness and days shortened give some insight into an end times fulfilment?
Ps 89:35-37 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure for ever,and his throne as the Sun before me. It shall be established for ever as the Moon and as a faithful Witness in heaven. Selah
Ps 89:43-45 Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
Thou hast made his glory to cease,
and cast his throne down to the ground.
The Days of his youth hast thou Shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
In addition there appears to be a prophesied event of the Sun going down early, at noontime, as a day shortened.
Amos 8:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon,
and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
Isa 16:3 make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday;
Jer 6:4 Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out

A: There are 12 Sevens but only 4 are "time."
