Explosion Proof Portable Power Distribution System from Larson Electronics 2021
This unit is Made In USA - Manufactured in Texas
The Larson Electronics MPD-XD16-BSB-DE9YT-BZ-3.S10-9.X01-M1 Explosion Proof Temporary Power Distribution Station converts three-phase 480V AC electrical current into three-phase 208Y/120V AC. This explosion proof unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power.
Portable Power Distribution Purpose and Use
The MPD-XD16-BSB-DE9YT-BZ-3.S10-9.X01-M1 temporary power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 120 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect three-phase 480 volt line-in power using a 25-foot 12/4 AWG SOOW cord. On the secondary side, operators may access nine explosion proof receptacles for 120V equipment.
Operation: A 25' 12/4 AWG SOOW line-in cord brings three-phase 480V power to the Class I, Division 1 primary disconnect, which contains one 15-amp 3-pole 480V main circuit breaker, and passes power to the transformer. The explosion proof Class I, Division 1 9 KVA transformer converts three-phase 480V to 208Y/120V and passes the current to the secondary side of the system. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a Class I, Division 1 25-amp, three-phase 208Y/120V main lug only panelboard, which contains three 20-amp 1-pole main circuit breakers protecting nine Class I, Division 1 explosion proof panel mount 125V receptacles.
Protective Construction: The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a powder coated aluminum, dolly cart style frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two run-flat rubber tires and a dolly cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift point allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks.
This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150KVA, and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted.
Certification: All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request.
Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground.
