UPDATE: '96 Chevy Astro Repairs - Cooling Issues
After a decent road trip to Cali, we managed to drag ourselves over the finish line home to diagnose cooling issues. Problems were both cooling temp sensor and sending unit, plus a leak hose to the auxiliary heater.
She's all patched up now. The She-Beast thirsts now for more road to munch.
She-Beast is a 1996 Chevy Astro 2WD 4.3 litre Gladiator conversion van. All the mechanical issues are now a non issue. Whats left at this point is regular maintenance as well as some weather sealing.
This is an ongoing project, but I'm hoping to get her show ready to start making it to some van shows.
Another part of the ongoing sustainable living situation is getting our air compressor up to snuff. Ordered new gaskets, which are on backorder, but will be grinding off the rust once they make it to our door step.
