Leg 4 - KGNB-PAJN | Miley Memorial to Jackson Hole - KBPI-KJAC

There is a break in the weather this Tuesday morning, February 16th, 2021, in beautiful and barren western Wyoming. Good enough to finish the fourth leg of our, at least, seventeen hundred-mile journey from Granby, Colorado (KGNB) to Juneau, Alaska (PAJN). Today we start where we left off a couple of weekends ago, at parking position 2 at Miley Memorial Field in Big Piney, Co (KBPI) - and we will be headed up to one of the most popular airports in the middle of nowhere, Jackson Hole. We start off in some beautiful VFR weather, but there is a winter storm quickly creeping in, and the weather in Jackson Hole is jumping between Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and Marginal VFR (MVFR) every fifteen minutes or so... can we make it before we are in the midst of a winter storm in full blown Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC)?

Another interesting aspect of this flight is that we are entering into Orbx scenery (NA Central Rockies). So we'll be heading out of the dull and boring Prepar3D scenery, and into some better and more detailed graphics. We will be flying at twelve thousand feet over eleven hundred foot mountains, so we should get a pretty close look! I have also acquired the Jackson Hole Airport scenery as well, so the airport should resemble somewhat what it looks like in real life.

In real life, there is no way I would venture into this type of weather without an instrument rating on a private pilot's license... but I'm comfortably sitting in an office chair in my nice warm house so let's do it!
