Friday Boulder Police Chief Maris Herald Said That The Firearm Used By Ahmad Alissa - A Semiautomatic Ar-556 Pistol - Was Legally Purchased In A Gun Store In Arvada, Colorado.

In Addition The 21-Year-Old Suspect Passed A Background Check Before Buying The Gun And Also Had A 9Mm Handgun In His Possession However, Police Do Not Believe That Firearm Was Used In The Shooting.

The Boulder County District Attorney Said That Officials Are Working Non Stop To Make Sure Justice Is Served.
Alissa - Who Made His First Court Appearance Thursday Morning - Was Originally Booked Into The Boulder County Jail On Tuesday But Was Moved To A Different Facility Thursday Evening Due To Safety Concerns And Threats.

Alissa Was Charged With 10 Counts Of First-Degree Murder And One Count Of Attempted First-Degree Murder In Connection With The King Soopers Mass Shooting On Monday That Resulted In The Death Of 10 People, Including A Police Officer.
He’s Being Held Without Bond And Is Not Due Back In Court For An Unspecified Time As Alissa's Defense Attorney Requested More Time “To Assess" Alissa’s Mental Health.
