20210325 The Traditions of Men - The Daily Summation

Tradition. It's not always a bad thing, that said, it's not nearly always a good one either.

Speaking from a Biblical perspective, it's fair to say Jesus characterizes it as something typically used to "skirt" what's said in that sacred text.

That's as true today as it was in His day.

And to be fair, I'm sure I use it in that way at times as well. That's something I hope will be revealed to me over time (however uncomfortable it may be), so that I can work on correcting it.

This idea of tradition potentially being bad, doesn't just apply to what happens in the Church, but what occurs outside it as well.
