Commentary on SpaceX's NROL-108 Launch, With New SN8 footage

On December 19, 2020, SpaceX conducted it's final Falcon 9 launch of the year. This launch is special because first, this is the booster's fifth flight; and second, as a result of carrying a classified payload (i.e., spy satellite) for the NROL (The National Reconaissance Office); SpaceX did not show it's usual second stage footage, fairing separation, or payload deployment. Instead, SpaceX provided full tracking videos of the first stage from the moment of separation to landing, without any interuption. Tracking cameras on the ground as well as cameras on the first stage itself, provided an unusually clear and uninterrupted view of SpaceX's spectacular (reusuability) relanding process. We also take a look at some new ground based footage from SpaceX of their recent SN8 test flight from December 9, 2020.
