From the same period Luke records 55 generations.

That's a significant difference from Captivity to Christ.
A: That's too much of a difference to determine the number of generations going forward in my view. Also from Abraham to David the life expectancy is much higher than from David on.
I know people say a generation is a fixed number of years but it really should be determined by time one is born when they have children.
Also with this info Adam is 3893 BC making is year 5910 not the 5777 "Hebrew" year.
