In this video I show you how to derive the Quadratic Formula. The proof for the Quadratic Formula is derived by completing the square on the general form of a quadratic equation. I show exactly where the quadratic formula comes from. Many teachers just give you the formula and show you how to use it, but it's always good to know how to go about deriving the quadratic formula.
