Exercise for Spinal Flexion and Avoid Straining of the Neck Muscles
New week new challenge! Here is a different spin on your #core #workout or the Series of Five... In regular crunch we work against gravity in spinal flexion, in this exercise we are assisted by the spring in flexion so the challenge is keeping the body in spinal flexion and not going into hip flexion. Great for strengthening the trunk and adding variety to your pilates, yoga or gym workout. I also use this work to assist my clients in spinal flexion and avoid straining of the neck muscles. Repeat each #exercise 8-10 times, listen to your #body and always work at a level appropriate for you!
