Buy Produce or Grow Produce? Which is Cheaper for Dehydrating?

In 2020 people were saying to grow a garden because of the potential for a food shortage. I turned most of my backyard into garden beds. I worked hard through the season to grow as much produce as I could. The end result left me with mixed emotions. Then came the water bill. So this year the question is ...Should I buy produce or should I grow produce to dehydrate?
