My Struggle In Nam

The Namekagon River that is. I had high hopes after reading Gordon MacQuarrie and watching videos of guys catching pig browns. Expectation fell to disappointment when I was walking in huge stretches of shallow water with a bottom of slimy rocks that made walking very difficult. The shaky camera is due to the rocky bottom. The only stretch of decent water I found got too deep for my waders. I did catch a 20" slimer. The river itself is beautiful, but doesn't seem like a great river to fish in waders. I doubt I will be back unless I get some good intel on a spot. Even though I went troutless, I did enjoy doing some exploring.
