Electromagnet Propels Boat with Wider Side to Side Motion

You can see the difficulty of getting the small boat to stand still in a fresh pan of water in the beginning of this video and then you can see with the wide side to side motion from the two electromagnets (being compasses) That the true center of rotation is farther away from the magnets than the center of mass.
