Well lake fishing from the shore is never easy, but it can surprise you! Its always better to have a boat or canoe but, there are good fish to be had when fly fishing from the shore. I fished all day, and dealt with a few pike biting off some of my flies. But finally towards the end of the day I hooked into a good trout. It was only one fish, but the fight was good enough to make it a great day out on the water!

Many people ask me what gear I use on my trips, so here is a breakdown on what rods, reels, and line I was using.
Setup 1:
Sage Method 9' 6wt Rod - https://amzn.to/2r6vVlR
Piscifun Platte 5/6 - https://amzn.to/2HZOaE7
Rio outbound short intermediate sink tip - https://amzn.to/2HDdk8d

Setup 2:
Piscifun rod 9' 5wt (not a model for sale yet)
Piscifun sword 2 reel 5/6 - https://amzn.to/2Fniljn

Also many of you have asked about that fly I was using to hook up to that trout with. Its called the double bunny, and its a good one for sure. Here is a video I did on how to tie it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YrMCqacelI
