I have two military surplus Fermot MEP-831-A diesel generators for sale.

Includes 24v starting battery & solar charge system, added after video made.

Made to run in any environment imaginable from deserts (sand, high temps, winds, etc) to cold mountain regions at high altitudes. These are battle harden units, can be dropped off at a cabin, or left in a field, topped off with Penray Nox-Ice, you will have 120v or 240v power by flipping a switch. Cold weather starting w glow plug.

This is a very quiet generator designed to be used in all military tactical environments.

How they operate: There is a permanent magnet generator (PMG) coupled to a small diesel. The PMG provides AC power to an inverter that converts the power to DC then back to AC. The generator monitors the load and is then able to slow down the diesel to conserve fuel. This little diesel is much more efficient operating at lower RPM's. Lowering RPM's at part loads, where generators operate most of the time, is not something most generators can do. Lower the RPM, when possible, is key to reducing the amount of fuel used. This generator is similar to the popular little inverter generators on the market today but has many more features and uses a reliable, rugged Yanmar diesel engine. No other fluids than oil and diesel.

Select between 120/240V split phase(16 amps), 120V single phase (31 amps) by throwing a selector switch on the generator. The single 120V option is nice if you do not have any 240V loads as you do not have to worry about balancing the phases and can typically use more of the generator power. This generator gives you all the options.
