The House Passed Legislation Today That Would Make It Harder For American's To Buy Guns.

The So Called Bipartisan Background Checks Act Of 2021 Was Passed By A 227 To 203 Vote.

The Bill Would Require Background Checks To Be Conducted On All Firearm Sales And Transfers Between Private Gun Owners.

Critics Of The Bill Say That The Bill Will Use A Gun Registry To Track The Guns Owned By American's.

Private Transactions Would Also Be Tracked, And The National Gun Registry Would Know Where A Person Lives And How Many Guns They Have.

The Lower Chamber Is Also Expected To Pass A Bill That Would Expand The Review Period To Purchase A Gun From 3 Days To 10 Days. Opponents Of The Bill Are Concerned That The 10 Day Period Will Quickly Double Into A 20 Day Review Period.

In Order For The Bill To Pass In The Senate, They Would Need 60 Votes.

Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer Said That If They Don't Get The Votes They Will Figure Out A Way To Get It Done.
