Reichstag Fire

Arnold Schwarzenegger was recently heralded for an insanely inaccurate comparison between the riot at our Capitol on January 6th with a nationwide assault, murder, and imprisonment of Jews in concentration camps by Nazi Germany. There is NO comparison, but there is an accurate one from that period. It was an attack on Germany’s legislative capitol. More important than the arson itself, was how the Nazis used the incident to suspend all civil liberties like free speech and to demonize their political opposition to seize total control.
