U.S. Marines and Sailors with the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, (CBIRF), participate in exercise Scarlet Response at Guardian Centers in Perry, Ga., July, 2020. The training exercise was conducted to test the Marines' and Sailors' ability to detect radiation, locate casualties, conduct vehicle extrication, and perform decontamination of simulated casualties resulting from a mock nuclear explosion in a major U.S. city.
