Bioshock Infinite 2010 | Lost Video Games #1
Bioshock Infinite was announced on August 10, 2010. That same year, this trailer was released, supposedly advertising the gameplay customers would be able to experience upon release. In 2011, another trailer showcasing gameplay for the game was released, with massive changes applied to art, character and gameplay design. When Bioshock Infinite was released on March 26, 2013, the retail version was drastically different from both previous versions. Instead, the Bioshock Infinite we got (while a breathtaking game, nonetheless) felt lacking in the graphics, story and gameplay as compared to the trailers from 2010 and 2011. While Bioshock Infinite is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and entertaining games out there, it still pains me to think of how much content was cut from the original; how much of the soul and inspiration Irrational Games imbued into the game was hacked off.
