How to slow down in your race is a comment sought after topic we as runners search out. How do we minimize lactic acid and manage pain more efficiently so we get to the finish line in record time.

Of course, easier said than done. I cover some of my top suggestions in this video to help you tackle your next big race. Mindset is HUGE. You cannot underestimate the power of the subconscious mind. In addition, there are many aspects of preparing for your races that go into slowing down less than your competitors.

Training at paces near, far below and above your goal race pace all factor into getting into a "flow" state. In addition, tapering correctly and not lowering your intensity and volume too soon also is key. Check out the resources below to take your running to the next level.
