Academic virtue is not in diving into questions which bring no benefit, or questions which are beyond our capacity, or to invent theories and substantiate them with rhetoric and stylistic language. Academic virtue in theology is to pursue the truth accept and to submit to the truth which our Creator revealed concerning His attributes, His names, and issues of faith that are not completely perceivable or knowable by us. Asking questions about the essence of Allah, the day or judgment, the paradise and hellfire bring no benefit and are beyond our comprehension. Delving into these issues may lead us to negating or distorting what Allah has revealed about these issues. We believe the reality of these issues as Allah described them, and as He revealed upon the prophet Muhammad (peace upon him), and we do not raise questions or formulate theories about the details which Allah has kept to Himself.
