Self Care for Mamas - Rochelle Nelson, Part 1
“If Mama ain't happy, ain’t nobody happy!” Ever heard these words? We live in a world that promotes “me time” and She Sheds but, while those things can often lead to complete self-centeredness, we do need to make taking care of ourselves a priority. Perhaps the saying should go “If Mama ain’t well cared for, ain’t nobody well cared for!” However, mama self-care doesn’t necessarily mean weekly manicures and coffee dates with our girlfriends. It starts with spiritual self-care - growing in our relationship with the Lord - to e nsure that we are prepared for the stresses of life. Following spiritual self-care is learning how to care for our physical bodies so that we have the strength and health to care for those whom the Lord has entrusted to us on a daily basis. Join Yvette Hampton as she talks with homeschool mom, Rochelle Nelson, about the importance of Mama Self-Care.

Schoolhouse Rocked: The Homeschool Revolution is a feature-length documentary currently in post-production. The film is intended to break down common misconceptions about homeschooling, encourage a flood of new families to homeschool, and equip those already homeschooling to do it well. The film follows host, Yvette Hampton, as she travels the country with her family, meeting other homeschoolers and education experts in an effort to learn the secrets of successful homeschooling and to tell the story of the millions of people who have been impacted by the homeschool revolution.
