A Mated Red Crested Cardinal Pair

These 2 are really cool birds the female is far less skittish and the male is finally able to eat without grabbing a peanut and running off well as long as I place the seed bowls on the Rock Wall the male will now relax a bit but since it’s further from me I can’t see what it is that they prefer to eat it’s interesting that each bird has favorite foods within a species but all these birds on my videos are regulars and when an outsider tries to partake they get chased away many of the species are territorial the Common House Finch’s and the Doves “Dumb Birds” do not seem to be territorial at all but almost all the other species are very protective of their area Mynahs come in a larger group but that group is always the same birds and I swear they have meetings on how to keep the group from growing. The Mynah’s aren’t fond of the seeds but love the Grapes that I wire tie to the Plumeria Tree and the Hibiscus bush grapes are not grown on Oahu but once they figured out that they liked this fruit they wait for me to place them in the tree and chat to me while I am putting them up so very cute
