During former president Trump’s impeachment trial, the death of Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick was brought up a number of times in Congress as the lawmakers tried to portray the riots as an insurrection that resulted in the loss of lives. The New York Times initially reported that Sicknick was beaten by a pro-Turmp supporter during the riots, but weeks after the Jan. 6 breach, it updated the story saying new information has emerged that the cause of the officer's death might be something else. CNN and NBC also updated their reports after their initial coverage of Sicknick’s death.

On Monday, New York State Attorney General Letitia James confirmed in a statement that she will lead an independent investigation into allegations of sexual harassment claims made against Cuomo.

According to National File, six books from the popular children’s book author Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known under his pen name, Dr. Seuss, were permanently canceled on Tuesday. The foundation that holds the books’ copyright, claims that the cancelation is due to the alleged racist content in some of the books.
