The Biden Administration Could Start Their Push For Gun Control Measures Through Congress As Early As Next Week.
His According To D.C. Sources - Cited In A Tweet From The NRA - Which Said That It Is Possible That The Legislation Will Bypass Committee Process.

A Record Number Of Firearms Were Purchased Last Month And Has Been Increasing Month By Month Since The Start Of The Lockdowns.

Measures That Are Available To Congress At This Point Are H.R. 125 And H.R. 127.

Included In The Combined Bills Are:

A Requirement For Psychological Evaluations For All Gun Owners, The Registration Of All Firearms And Ammunition, Mandatory Liability Insurance, The Licensing Of All Gun Owners, And A Seven-Day Waiting Period On All Semi-Automatic Firearms Purchases.

In Addition, It's Expected That Legislation Will Be Introduced Requiring Universal Background Checks.
President Biden Called For That Measure In February At The Same Time He Asked For A Ban On Both “Assault Weapons,” And “High Capacity” Ammunition Magazines As Well As Asking To Repeal Of The Protection Of Lawful Commerce In Arms Act, An Act Which Was Put In Place To Shield Gun Makers From Frivolous Lawsuits.

However, It Is Not Clear Which Specific Measures Congress May Be Taking Up Next Week.
