The cable car in Dubrovnik started operating in 1969. It became a major tourist attraction in town. The cable car operated successfully until the early 1990’s when it was destroyed in the Croatian War of Independence. Fifteen years after the war ended, the cable car re-opened in 2010.
The journey to the top takes 3-4 minutes to reach the summit station on Mount Srđ. At the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Old Town Dubrovnik, the crystal clear Adriatic Sea, Lokrum Island, and the surrounding Elaphiti islands.
