A member of the Democratic Party, he defeated Republican incumbent Tom Corbett in the 2014 gubernatorial election and was re-elected in 2018 by a margin of 17.1%.

Wendy Ullman is an American politician. She is affiliated with the Democratic Party and has represented Pennsylvania House of Representatives district 143 since 2018. Before assuming office she was an English professor at Bucks County Community College and Montgomery County Community College.
