Please join us for a conversation with Melanie, Mike and Kevin Oesch from the renowned Yodel #Volksmusik family group from the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland.

The group's name is derived from three generations of family members performing in the band. With that theme in mind, I will chat with the third generation of #Oesch's (Melanie, Mike and Kevin) about their music, popularity, family and even their #Swiss homeland. Melanie, Mike and Kevin are the third generation, following on the examples of their grandfather Hans and parents #Hansueli and Annemarie.

Formed in 1997 when, at age 10, Melanie joined Oesch's die Dritten, the ensemble followed in the footsteps of the original family band "Trio Oesch." The group is immensely popular in the Alpine region of Central Europe with many fans around the world. Supporters throughout the mountain regions of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and France are perhaps, to be expected. But their popularity in South Africa and the USA might just surprise you. However, it should not. Anyone who has ever watched them preform can easily see how talented, energetic and entertaining they are. As 2022 approaches the group begins preparing for 25 years together as a folk music group. Join us to find out a bit more from the youngest generation of Oesch's die Dritten.
