Restoring an Old Original Xbox found at the Thrift Store | RRG Episode 5

In this episode, the Retro Repair Guy pays homage to the original Xbox as this year marks the twentieth anniversary of the original Xbox console and finally earns official status as a retro gaming console. I repair, restore and change the capacitors including the clock capacitor in this original Xbox version 1.0 manufactured in Mexico in 2001, and gave the retro gaming unit a new life. I even threw the motherboard in the dishwasher!

Episode 04 is the fifth episode of The Retro Repair Guy. A series aimed at retro and vintage electronic repair and restoration.
