Addiction and Your Family

The thing that mystifies the family of an addict is, their loved one’s behavior is self-destructive. Why would your son, daughter or parent do something that ruins their health and may even kill them? What motivates a person to go down a path that would deliberately destroy everything they hold dear and love?
