DreamWash H25 Rebuild Video by Brian Lewis

Finished rebuilding 3 H25 pumps back to back that were 6 years old. These pumps had started to develop lower pressure and excessive noise so they were past their prime. I recorded a rebuild of the first one so you can see how I do it while its installed on the Sonnys frame. Wanner has some great videos so I would also recommend watching those as well. After rebuilding be sure to top off oil, replace gauge, back off regulator one full CCW turn. I would also recommend using the prime kit below (or Wanner makes one) to pressurize the unit to 15psi, then manually turn the pulley 20 times, then cycle the pump on/off a few times to prime the hydraulic plungers so they operate properly and the unit doesn't shake violently with low pressure. After priming hydraulic side I would hook up water and cycle pump for a few seconds before hooking up your output hose just to get the air out of the water side. Then hook back up to tunnel equipment and run it for a few minutes until pressure gets back up to 600-800. I back my units off to 800psi. If you are getting no pressure you don't have prime on either the hydraulic or water side or both. If the unit is shaking violently you don't have prime on the hydraulic side and can either use the prime kit or run it for a minute, turn it off for an hour, run for a minute, off for an hour, repeat throughout the day and possible do it the next day until it gets all the air out of the hydraulic plungers. If unit is not shaking but has little pressure it might just be air on the water side and that can be corrected by running it for a few minutes, off for 10 min, on for a few minutes, repeat as needed until pressure builds, then dial in the regulator back to 800 psi. CW increases, CCW decreases.

Expect 60-120 minutes for your first rebuild if you take your time. Once you get use to rebuilding these units you can tear them down and put them back together in about 30 minutes.
