It’s crazy how through dedicating time

Nothing makes you feel old like studying and working out with a bunch of 17-21 year old guys aspiring to be PTs 👵🏻 But despite the age difference, I’ve actually managed to keep up with those little spring chickens in all the practical classes and I can even squat and deadlift more than some of them 😜💪🏻 A few years ago, none of this would have been possible. I was terribly unfit and completely lacking confidence and self esteem. If I had to participate in a group situation with a bunch of strangers, especially involving physical activity, it would have ruined me. I would have most definitely quit or at least had a panic attack. This meant that I said no to a lot of things that I really wanted to do or achieve, because I was so fearful and full of self doubt 😢

It’s crazy how through dedicating time and energy towards improving my health and fitness I have also improved my self belief and how to loss weight loss confidence levels so much. Obviously being more comfortable with my physical appearance helps, but I have confidence in my abilities now which I’ve never had before and that has nothing to do with how I look 🙅🏻‍♀️ Gaining back that self belief means I’m now saying YES to opportunities and experiences I would never have agreed to in the past and my life is so much richer for it ❤️ .
