Finish Wood With Stain and Polyurethane
et's apply stain and polyurethane a wooden table top. I made a table top for a dog kennel side table and my wife wanted this stained dark with little grain showing. I used Varathane Premium stain with Ebony color and Varathane Ultimate Polyurethane in Semi-Gloss finish. These were bought from Home Depot (who did not sponsor this video). I bought the Blue Haw "Ideal for Crafts & Projects" 3-pack Polyester Flat Multiple Sizes Paint Brush Set from Lowes (who did not sponsor this video). I applied stain and polyurethane with these brushes. This was my process but your experience may vary. Be careful with applications and ensure you have enough ventilation. There is a summary of typical tips for stain and polyurethane toward the end of the video. Have fun and make something. This is definitely something for DIY individuals whether you are a professional woodworker or someone who likes weekend projects.
