YouTube Censorship - You Censor One You Censor All

Joe Rogan comes out and says YouTube will censor anything that does not comply with CDC Covid compliance. Google and YouTube have continued to censor conservative content. Is YouTube a social platform or a publishing company? How do they decide which content is censored and which is deemed worthy of YouTube?

YouTube claims they have the right to take down whatever content they wish, but their mission statement reads as follows:

"Our mission is to give everyone a voice and show them the world. We believe that everyone deserves to have a voice and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories."

We hope YouTube will continue to honor its mission statement by allowing free speech to continue and take place.

This is a platform where all forms where ideas, beliefs, and opinions are able to be shared. We hope YouTube will reconsider its stance to take down content talking about "voter fraud." The American people deserve a fair election, and they deserve to hear every side so they are able to come to their own free conclusions. This is only we as the American people can truly know the election was carried out in a fair and just way.

If we are not allowed to challenge the status quo how then can new and creative ideas hope to survive?

The first amendment states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The phrase that we need to focus on is "peaceably to assemble".
The internet and sites like Youtube have become places where the public assemblies. If YouTube censors what creators can say, does everyone truly have a voice? Where can free speech be exercised if not on public platforms like YouTube?

Differences of opinion must be expressed, no matter how extreme. They must be given the opportunity to be debunked in public view. If such ideas are wrong, bringing them on this platform is the only way to discredit them. This includes "hate speech". By censoring someone or a group of people you give them a bigger platform to speak from.

The Nazi party was all about censorship, the same as with the communist party. Dictators censor and intimidate and those who believe in freedom and the exchange of individual ideas do not.

We at Got Freedom beg the leaders of YouTube to reconsider their stance. Let the process play out and let the people speak. This is the only way the truth will come out, in the light, for all to see through the exchange of ideas. We believe in you YouTube and hope you will stand with those who simply want the truth and those who are willing to challenge the status quo.
